Welcome to New Zealand. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Discover the ‘City of Sails’ – take a cruise on Waitemata Harbour, head off on a Waiheke Island Wine Tour or explore the Auckland Museum. Alternatively set off on a Wilderness Adventure into the Waitakere Rainforest or select from o­ne of our many Freedom of Choice Touring activities. Dinner Included.

Day 4 - Auckland, Bay of Islands

You cross Auckland’s Harbour Bridge and travel along the Hibiscus Coast to Matakohe’s Kauri Museum. Upon arrival in the Northland region, visit the Waitangi Treaty House, where the original treaty between the British and Maori people was signed. Breakfast & Dinner Included.

Day 5 - Bay of Islands

The Bay of Islands await our discovery. Choose your Touring activity. Perhaps take a day tour to Cape Reinga, New Zealand's most northernmost point, experience life aboard a tall ship, embark on a dolphin watching adventure or take a mini-tour of Russell. Breakfast Included.

Day 6 - Bay of Islands, Auckland

Begin today with a dolphin-watching cruise to Cape Brett and the Hole in the Rock. Back in Auckland tonight you enjoy a special Pacific Themed dinner at our hotel. Breakfast & Dinner Included.

Day 7 - Waitomo, Rotorua, Hangi Feast

The Waitomo region is home to the famous glow worm caves, where thousands of tiny luminescent creatures radiate an unmistakable glow. You discover this natural wonder o­n a guided tour, before continuing to Rotorua. You immerse ourselves in Maori culture tonight as you enjoy a Maori Hangi feast and cultural performance. Day 8 - Rotorua

Following breakfast this morning, enjoy your chosen sightseeing inclusion. Perhaps experience the icons of Rotorua at the Agrodome Farm Show and the Te Puia Thermal Reserve; Make your way to Rainbow Springs Nature Park to see a working Kiwi nursery and hatchery; or unwind with a game of golf. Alternatively, take a Hobbiton Movie Set tour for an enthralling insight into the making of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy or visit New Zealand's largest boiling mud pool and colourful hot springs. You may wish to experience warm New Zealand hospitality on a Rotorua Country Homestay. Day 9 - Rotorua - Taupo - Wellington

You travel through a region abundant with geothermal activity, crystal clear lakes and streams, natural spas and rich Maori culture. Visit Lake Taupo and thundering Huka Falls with its striking blue water. Your journey then takes us to Wellington. This evening, discover the tantalising flavours of New Zealand with a choice from three tempting restaurants in which to dine. Breakfast & Dinner Included.

Discover the delights of the New Zealand capital with an extended stay. After breakfast, set off on a sightseeing tour taking you to the city's best loved landmarks and sights, including New Zealand's national museum - Te Papa Tongarewa. Afterwards, ride Wellington's iconic cable car, gaining a fresh perspective on this coastal city. Breakfast included.

Day 11 - Cook Strait, Kaikoura - Christchurch

Named after Captain James Cook, the first European to sail through the narrow body of water in 1770, Cook Strait separates the North and South islands. The Interislander ferry journey is o­ne of the most picturesque cruises in the world. O­nce in Picton, you travel to Kaikoura, famous for its whale watching, before arriving in Christchurch. Day 12 - TranzAlpine Train, Franz Josef

Rated as o­ne of the most scenic rail journeys in the world, the TranzAlpine takes us through gorges, river valleys and across the magnificent Southern Alps. Disembark at Arthur's Pass and travel by coach to Hokitika, Here, you'll enjoy the opportunity to see Pounamu (Jade) being skilfully carved into pieces of jewellery. Afterwards continue along the dramatic New Zealand West coast to Franz Josef, where you'll have the opportunity to take in the dramatic terrain and icy surrounds of the Franz Josef Glacier. Day 13 - Franz Josef, Queenstown

Enjoy a day of incredible scenery as you travel along the Haast River, capturing views of the massive glacier-formed Haast River Valley, towering peaks, waterfalls and rainforest. Arrive in Queenstown, where this evening you’ll choose your Dine Around Dinner. Breakfast & Dinner Included.

Day 14 - Queenstown

Tailor your sightseeing today in Queenstown, with your choice of Touring. Options include, experiencing the thrills of a Shotover Jet boat ride deep into river canyons, indulge in some of Central Otago’s finest wines, or perhaps explore your favourite scenes from the famous ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy o­n a Safari of the Scenes tour. Day 15 - Milford Sound, Te Anau

You journey along the Milford Road this morning, winding its way down the Eglinton and Hollyford valleys, then through the Homer Tunnel. As you exit the tunnel you’ll be met by dramatic scenery. Cruising the full length of pristine Milford Sound is a true highlight of any visit to New Zealand. Our day concludes with a relaxing drive to Te Anau, where you stay overnight. Day 16 - Te Anau, Dunedin

Day 17 - Mt Cook

Day 18 - Mt Cook, Christchurch

Leaving the snow-capped mountains of Mt Cook National Park, you travel by coach to Lake Tekapo. Here, you’ll visit to the tiny Church of the Good Shepherd, o­ne of the most photographed scenes in New Zealand. The church was built of locally gathered stone and oak, erected as tribute to the regions early pioneers. Later travel through delightful scenery along Burkes Pass to Christchurch, the South Islands largest city. In the evening, you will enjoy a memorable farewell dinner at your hotel.
